H&M wants to ban the use of new down from its strategy by the end of 2025. The company confirmed this to WWD after reporting from animal rights organization Peta. British fashion house Burberry has launched a scarf made from an innovative new material: Brewed Protein fiber, developed by Japanese biotechnology company Spiber. Burberry shared in a statement that it is the first luxury brand to launch new products using ‘brewed protein’; a new lab-grown fiber produced by fermentation of plant-based, renewable ingredients.
