During New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026, everything revolves around personal expression, as a powerful counterbalance against artificial intelligence and creeping uniformity.
According to the Pantone Color Institute, this season, designers opt for a daring mix of familiar shades, lively accents and soothing neutral tones, the institute today reports in a news item on the homepage.
“The colors of this season give room to experiment and to leave our own stamp on fashion,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director From the Pantone Color Institute in a statement.
The five largest colors that are highlighted in the message are:
- Acacia: a striking yellow tint with green undertone.
- Dusty Rose: A romantic, gray pink hue.
- Tea Rose: A female rosette tint with hint of red.
- Burnt Sienna: a rust -brown shade that reminds us of the regenerative power of nature.
- Amaranth: a mysterious purple shade.
In addition, we see: a clear central blue color (Marina), a light orange tone with peach touch (muskmelon), a tealeither blue -green color (Alexandrite), a warm red tint (lava falls) and finally a light, gray lilac tint (Burnished Lilac).
Among the ‘seasonless’ shades are an almost black dark brown (Coffee Bean), a very light gray hue (Whyte Onyx), a classic dark blue (Rhodonite) a neutral beige (angora) and two vegetable tones: a dark forest green (Sage Green) (Sage).
