Om te voorkomen dat het gebruik van zware pijnstillers als oxycodon en fentanyl in Nederland uit de hand loopt, moet er meer aandacht komen voor alternatieve pijnbestrijding én begeleiding bij het afbouwen van dit medicijngebruik. Anders dreigt in ons land een opioïdencrisis, waarschuwt de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Anesthesiologie (NVA).
