Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, the former Real Madrid coach, raised more doubts about the fate of his compatriot Kylian Mbappe, the star of the Paris Saint-Germain football team.
Mbappe’s (25 years old) contract with the Parisian team expires at the end of the current season, amid reports that he may move to Real Madrid, in a free transfer deal.
Zidane said in statements reported by the French website Foot Mercato: “We will see what happens… At the moment, the matter has nothing to do with me.”
Regarding the possibility of Mbappe moving to Real Madrid, Zidane said: “We talk about it a lot, but we do not know what will happen.”
It is noteworthy that Mbappe refused to move several times to Real Madrid since 2017, due to Paris Saint-Germain’s huge financial offers.
Zidane touched on the Englishman Jude Bellingham, who has excelled with Real Madrid this season, saying: “I greatly praise Jude Bellingham’s abilities. He is incredible, and he does amazing things.”
He concluded: “Now we want him to win titles with Real Madrid. This is my wish during the coming period.”
Zinedine Zidane left Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, and has not coached any team yet.
The French coach’s name was linked to taking over the training of Paris Saint-Germain, and he had previously requested a contract with Mbappe when he was a coach at Real Madrid.
