It’s a banner year for fans of Zendaya’s spectacular, high-fashion looks on the red carpet. Just a few weeks ago, the actress completed the promotional tour by The Odyssey off in outfits that a Greek goddess were worthy. Now she’s back with a look that clearly references her latest Marvel film Spider-Man: Brand New Dayat its Los Angeles premiere.
Zendaya, who now plays MJ – Spider-Man’s lover – for the fourth time, once again proved her sense of impressive red carpet fashion. She wore a dress from Ashi Studio with striking details reminiscent of insect feelers.
The black satin creation featured a strapless, structured corset with a deep V-neck that flowed into the statement, wispy accents in place of shoulder straps. The dress, from the autumn/winter 2027 couture collection from the fashion house, ended in a voluminous pleated skirt with a generous train. She paired the look with sheer black tights and black pumps from Christian Louboutin.
To give the dress all the attention, Zendaya wore her hair slicked back, with dainty baby hairs styled across her forehead. She completed the outfit with sparkling Boucheron drop earringsset with pavé diamonds and finished with onyx and black lacquer details.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day isn’t just Zendaya’s second major film premiere this summer, but also the second in two months where she appears together with her husband Tom Holland. Holland, that one again Spider Man plays, was also featured in The Odysseyin which he played the role of Telemachus, the son of Odysseus.
The couple announced their engagement last year. After months of speculation, Holland seemed to be in June this year to confirm that they are now married. However, no further details about their wedding have been released so far.
