The London V&A Museum will host an extensive, new facility next year exhibition that the history from the French luxury jewelry brand Cartier in the spotlight. We would like to plan a weekend in London for that.
This is what we know about the exhibition
It is the house’s first exhibition in England in almost thirty years. The brand new exhibition will feature more than 350 objects contain, including pieces from the Royal Collection on loan from king charlesas well as other treasures from museums around the world and from private collections.
The exhibition charts the rise of Cartier from its founding in 1847 to its status as a ‘jeweler of kings and king of jewelers’, and looks at the evolution of the house’s legacy of art, design and craftsmanship since the early twentieth century. It also spotlights how the founder’s three grandsons Louis-François wanted to create the first globally recognized jewelry house.
The allure of Cartier
While Cartier can count on customers from royalty and aristocracy circles – so is Meghan Markle is a huge fan – the exhibition will also explore how the brand has broadened its appeal thanks to the dedication of eminent creatives from the worlds of film, music and fashion, making it an “unrivalled force in jewellery and watchmaking”.

In a conversation with the British Harper’s Bazaar in 2021 said Pierre RaineroCartier’s director of image, style and heritage, that the secret of the pieces’ enduring appeal lies in their essential simplicity. ‘It’s easy to catch the eye, but simplicity is probably the most difficult thing to achieve in a design,” he explained.
