The Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, confirmed today, Saturday, that the Ministry of Health is working within the government program to rehabilitate and reconstruct hospitals in Dhi Qar.

A statement from the Ministry of Health, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the Minister of Health arrived in Dhi Qar Governorate to follow up on the health situation in the governorate, accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation,” noting that “the Minister was received by the Governor of Dhi Qar, Murtada Al-Ibrahimi, and the governorate’s police chief, Major General Makki.” Al-Khikani, Chairman of the Health Committee in the Provincial Council, Ahmed Ghani Al-Khafaji, Director-General of Dhi Qar Health, Rashid Najm Al-Khalidi, and a number of personalities.”
He added, “The visit includes Al-Hasnawi inspecting a number of health institutions, following up on health projects under construction in Dhi Qar, and meeting with the local government to find out the health situation in the governorate.” The Minister of Health confirmed that “the Ministry of Health, within the government program, is working to develop health institutions in Dhi Qar and open new projects that serve the citizen, in addition to rehabilitating and reconstructing existing hospitals.”
