It’s no secret that buying the perfect one jeans can be quite a task. We’ve all been there, whether it’s inconsistent sizing that varies from store to store, or the stress of a cramped fitting room with unflattering fluorescent lighting.
But in a shocking twist (yes, it really is that dramatic), I’ve miraculously found a few that make the overstimulating quest a lot more bearable. In fact, they are from a well-known retail chain.
The high-waisted palazzo jeans with pleats from M&S are exactly the jeans I’ve been looking for all this time, and they fit so well that I feel confident about buying jeans again. They fit my figure perfectly without constricting, and with the many length options – from extra short to extra long – I was especially happy that I had finally found a pair of jeans that did not drag annoyingly on the floor.

The version I chose was the short/petite version, long enough to cover the tops of my beloved loafers, but short enough not to drag on the ground. A nice feature, especially if you (like me) prefer… ecru variant – although the medium indigo variant is just as good and ideal if you prefer more traditional garments.
But it’s not just it wide size range that makes shopping for these jeans so easy. The unique design is special flattering for different figures and sizes, thanks to the loose, comfortable denim cut with wide legs and a high waist.
The folds give a tailored touch, creating an airy fit with plenty of freedom of movement and a dynamic, stylish look. No wonder I immediately noticed the pants when I saw them in my local M&S saw.

This jeans are super easy to stylingbecause they go with almost every piece of clothing you wear capsule wardrobe. I paired them with a fitted, striped long sleeve that felt like a clever mix of a blazer and a cardigan. Shoe-wise, my loafers looked perfect and added a slightly boyish charm. Sneakers would work just as well and provide a sporty, casual look that still looks polished; think of minimalist models such as the Adidas Sambas.
