Fashion is completely captivated at the moment ballet. Now also closes Birkenstock join that trend. It iconic ‘mules and slippers brand’ today announced a collaboration with the Parisian heritage label Repettoloved worldwide for its elegant ballerinas. And if my fashion sense doesn’t fail me, these will without a doubt be the most wanted shoes of the year.

Anyone who is familiar with the fashion world probably already knows Repetto. For over seventy years, stylish women have returned home after a holiday in France with a pair of Repettos in their suitcase – the ultimate if you know, you know-souvenir.

The joint collection breathes softness and femininity. Birkenstock’s signature silhouettes get a elegant ballet twistwith subtle colors and refined details. Iconic models such as the Arizona, Scala and Opéra have been reinterpreted and finished with bows, buckles, ribbons and Repetto’s recognizable Vichy check design.
The color palette consists of matte baby pink and deep black, supplemented with patent leather versions in black and cherry red. The absolute eye-catchers are a lace-up clog and loafers with Mary Jane straps. There’s a good chance that these shoes will soon be at the top of many autumn wish lists.
The collection appears worldwide July 16 and is available from the Birkenstock and Repetto websites and a selection of stockists.
