The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, praised the efforts of the media personnel, while stressing the strengthening of the security and drug control system.
The ministry stated in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, “Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, met with an elite group of senior figures, academics, media figures, and political and security analysts.”
During the meeting, the Minister stated, “The steps taken by the Ministry of Interior in strengthening the security system, combating narcotics and psychotropic substances, providing services to citizens, especially in civil status departments, and the relationship of the security man with the citizen, in addition to enhancing border security, developing electronic systems, automating police stations, and eliminating the smuggling of petroleum derivatives.” Combating corruption, developing infrastructure and civil defense centers and the most important projects implemented by the ministry, as well as equipping departments with wheels with high technical specifications, and concluding contracts with 37,100 contractors between the ages of 18-22 years.”
He praised “the great efforts made by the media cadres to convey the true picture of the work of the ministry’s institutions.”
He listened to “a number of interventions and points of view to improve the work of the Ministry of Interior in a manner befitting the honorable citizens, and exchanged conversations with them to find out the obstacles they face in their work in order to overcome them and facilitate their work mission,” according to the statement.
