I congratulate the dear Iraqi people, and I congratulate with them the brave officers, members and employees of the Ministry of Interior on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Police. The celebration of Iraqi Police Day is a celebration of the 100-year journey of continuous giving and strenuous effort to establish the pillars of a sustainable security system that maintains tranquility and stability, provides security and reassurance, and spreads peace. It achieves justice and maintains order.
Throughout its history, the Iraqi police have made great sacrifices, especially in confronting terrorism, crime gangs, and drugs. They have contributed to breaking the wave of extremism and challenging regulations and laws. They have had an important role in spreading a culture of social peace and preserving national cohesion in the darkest days of adversity that our dear country has experienced.
Greetings to the heroes and perseverants of the Interior Ministry, and sincere thanks to the sacrificers and the wounded, and salutes, honor and pride to the martyrs and their families, and every year the Iraqi police are well.
