The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that 9 soldiers were killed in battles in the Gaza Strip on Monday, bringing the death toll to 519 since October 7.
The Israeli army noted in its statement that:
• Soldier (reserve), David Shortz, 26 years old, a fighter in the 8219th Engineering Battalion, Hafti Hash Formation (551), was killed in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
• Soldier (reserve), Gabriel Bloom, 27 years old, a fighter in the 36th Division’s engineering team, fell in a battle in the central Gaza Strip.
• Reserve soldier Yakir Hexter, 26 years old, a fighter in the 8291st Engineering Battalion, Hafti Hash Formation (551st), fell in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
• Sergeant Roy Tal, 19 years old, a fighter in the 94th Battalion of the Kafar Brigade, was killed in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
• Major (res.) Amit Moshe Shahar, 25 years old, a fighter in the Yalam unit of the Combat Engineer Corps, was killed in a battle in the central Gaza Strip.
• Captain (Res.) Ron Afremi, 26 years old, a combat engineering officer in the Yelam Unit, Combat Engineer Corps, was killed in battle in the central Gaza Strip.
• Capt. (Res.) Denis Krumkhalov Wexler, 32, a combat engineering officer with YALAM Unit, Combat Engineer Corps, was killed in action in the central Gaza Strip.
• Soldier (reserve), Akiva Yasinsky, 35 years old, fighter in the 8173rd Engineering Battalion, “Etzioni” Brigade (6), fell in a battle in the central Gaza Strip.
• Major (res.) Roy Abraham Memon, 24 years old, a military medic in the Yalam Unit, Combat Engineer Corps, was killed in battle in the central Gaza Strip.
