Grocer Tufan Adnan told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The great Ruqyah crop is one of the best types of Ruqyah in terms of taste, and this season is better than previous seasons, as it is distinguished by the sweetness of the taste, the most delicious of the imported ones, the clear redness, and the large size, as the weight of one Ruqyah sometimes reaches 17 kilograms.” .
In turn, the farmer in the Al-Azim district, Hamid Mahmoud, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The season is successful this year and the quality exceeds other regions of the country, as well as the importer, and marketers come to buy from us from all governorates of Iraq.”
As for farmer Jassim Saleh, he told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We have more abundant farms than all the governorates, and our season may last 3 months, and my great leaf is desired by all Iraqis and competes with the imported one.”
Saleh adds, “We demand a halt to the import of Al-Raqi, as what we have covers the needs of all Iraqi governorates with the possibility of exporting abroad. Therefore, we call on the concerned authorities to support the product after we spent large sums on its cultivation.”
Citizen Hussein Ali from Baghdad confirmed in his interview with (INA) that he is keen to buy the great Roqi available on the side of the road while traveling to the Kurdistan region or returning to Baghdad because of its distinctive taste and large size.
