Now the final rounds of Wimbledon 2026 start, it is not only the superior tennis stars who break through, but also the fashion trends. Wimbledon has long been the place where elegant shirt dresses, pretty floral dresses and even the occasional casual tennis dress flourished, complete with sun protection hats and statement sunglasses, of course. Until now, at least.
The neat summer dress has made way for the linen suit.
Stars are trading their summer dresses en masse for a linen suit during Wimbledon 2026
It was like always Sienna Miller who confirmed the cover when she arrived at Center Court on July 4. The actress wore one relaxed beige suit from Ralph Lauren to watch the tennis matches. In theory, a three-piece suit looks elegant, and maybe a little stiff, but in linen it’s a completely different story.

Miller’s suit shed its tight cut and loosened up, giving it a new kind of ease that a blazer-jacket combo doesn’t always provide. This was mainly due to the wider trousers. Miller’s pants were particularly oversized and contributed significantly to the overall relaxed vibe of her look.
She’s not the only one who… switch to a looser style makes in SW19. Also actress Claire Foy chose one beige linen suit to attend the Championships on July 7. Foy gave her open suit an extra touch of cool charm by wearing a bright white T-shirt instead of a perhaps obvious shirt. Black loafers and a subtle handbag completed her look and gave her a chic look.

As did Miller and Foy Claudia Winklemanwho was present on July 6, is their example. Her suit, on the other hand, was a brighter, off-white shade and even though it wasn’t linen, it still gave off a relaxed vibe. The slightly oversized cropped pants showed a glimpse of her monk-style loafers, which she wore with a white T-shirt and a clutch that she carried casually.

Naomi Ackie might have left her blazer at home (who can blame her with these kinds of temperatures), but she too would have understood the tip for a lighter outfit. On July 4, she arrived at Wimbledon wearing a long, loose blouse with wide beige trousers.

The call for aexchange a summer dress for a suit is easy to understand. It’s infinitely cooler than the modest dresses normally seen at Wimbledon.
Those who want to adopt this style should consider getting alinen suit to buy, or even a suit in a cooler color, in a size larger than normal. This way you achieve the same effect as Sienna and others in one go. Then leave those heels at home and instead opt for flats, like strappy sandals or loafers, and throw on your favorite white T-shirt. And you’re done.
