Salahuddin Governor Badr Al-Fahl issued directives for the month of Muharram.
The governor’s office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Salahuddin Governor, Badr Al-Fahal, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee, chaired the periodic security meeting in the presence of security leaders, directors of security departments, and the governor’s assistant for security affairs on Monday evening. The discussion in the meeting focused on efforts to enhance security and stability in the governorate, especially during the current month of Muharram.”
He added, “The security plan for the Muharram visit was also discussed, as well as providing the necessary atmosphere to protect visitors. The governor also stressed the activation of intelligence efforts to protect citizens and follow up on the drug and psychotropic substance file.”
He added, “The latest developments in the security arena were discussed, the drawn-up security plans and the joint coordination between the security services and military units were reviewed.”
The governor stressed, according to the statement, “the local government’s keenness to support the security file and harness all capabilities that contribute to enhancing stability and community peace in the governorate.”
