Today, Tuesday, the Salah al-Din Health Department announced the preparation of an emergency plan for Eid al-Fitr, while calling on citizens to adhere to the procedures and instructions of the health authorities.

The director of the department, Khaled Burhan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The department has prepared a special emergency plan that will be implemented during the days of Eid al-Fitr, to provide medical and health services to citizens.”
He added, “The plan included forming a main operations room at the department’s headquarters, headed by the Director-General, his administrative and technical assistants, and all department heads,” noting, “The plan included preparing ambulances, equipping them with the necessary medicines and supplies, and spreading them near places of worship, hospitals, cemeteries, intersections, and public squares.”
He stated, “Implementing preventive measures and precautionary measures related to communicable diseases in general will be a priority when implementing the plan,” calling on citizens to “adhere to the procedures and instructions of health agencies.”
He stressed, “The emergency departments in hospitals will continue to work around the clock to follow up and examine the sick cases received,” pointing out that “laboratory units will be open in all hospitals, in addition to opening sentinel health centers for all health sectors throughout the days of Eid.”
He pointed out “the necessity of the presence of health control teams in local markets, commercial areas (malls) and parks to ensure the safety of food and drinks there.”
