The National Retirement Authority announced today, Tuesday, the completion of more than 77,000 retirement transactions within a year.

The Deputy Chairman of the Authority, Hossam Abdel Sattar, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “In implementation of the package of procedures to facilitate transactions for the segment of retirees launched by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani at the beginning of February 2023 and followed up by the Chairman of the National Retirement Authority, Maher Hussein Rashid, the Authority has completed National Pension Agency (77,751 pension transactions from February 2023 until now).
He added, “The transactions that were disbursed by the teams working at the headquarters of the ministries, departments, and branches in the governorates also included the issuance of retirement IDs for those included,” pointing out that “the authority has 34 offices within the ministries and government institutions, as well as branches in all governorates.”
He pointed out that “work is continuing according to a smooth and electronic mechanism and procedures, and work is underway to complete the opening of offices in all departments within the plan prepared by the Authority to simplify pension transaction procedures.”
