Dutch fashion brand Botter has created a capsule collection for Desigual. Desigual emphasizes that the cooperation helps to strengthen the presence in the Northern European market, according to the press release.
“Botter has a strong cultural recognition in Northern Europe and a strong presence among new generations of consumers,” says Desigual. In addition, the brand mentions ‘a dedication to fashion as a platform for innovation and cultural expression’. Desigual indicates that it wants to grow to more conceptual items.
Desigual sees a link between Botter’s high level of craftsmanship, personal storytelling and sustainability and creative DNA. The Capsule collection, which will be released on August 26, is a unisex collection. Inspiration was obtained from the Desigual Archive and a combination made between ‘flowing shapes and structured customization’.
The creative directors of Botter, Rushhemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh, have recently been appointed as creative directors of fashion brand G-Star RAW. Previously they headed Nina Ricci fashion house and they have had their own brand Botter for years.
