Rafael Nadal has expressed disappointment at being forced to miss the Monte Carlo Masters later this month.
Nadal has been absent from the tour since suffering a muscle injury in Brisbane in January, with the 37-year-old revealing on social media that he was not ready to return to action.
“This is a very difficult moment for me from a sporting point of view,” said Nadal, who won 11 times in Monte Carlo. write on X.
“Unfortunately, I have to tell you that I will not compete in Monte Carlo. My body simply does not allow me to do so.
“Even though I work hard and give my best every day and have enough will to play again in a game that is very important to me, the fact is that I can’t play today.
