Outerwear brand Moose Knuckles adds a new label. The sub-label is called Moose Lab and is created through ‘creative collaborations’, according to a press release.
“Moose Lab will serve as a space for visionary creatives to reinterpret the history and legacy of Moose Knuckles, combining technical and fashionable outerwear built for the tundra but fit for modern urban living,” the press release reads. . Moose Lab’s first collection is a 12-piece capsule.
Inviting external parties to reinterpret heritage has been happening in the fashion industry for some time. For example, fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier has its couture collection designed by a new designer every season, but fashion house Moncler has also invited external designers for the Moncler Genius line for a long time. The former fashion brand AZ Factory also worked with ‘amigos. What is striking about Moose Knuckles Lab, however, is that the first capsule was designed by the global artistic director from the Carlos Nazario brand.
