Maison Margiela and Christian Louboutin are launching their first joint shoe collection today. The collaboration, resulting from the Maison Margiela 2024 Artisanal Collection, merges the characteristic styles of both fashion houses.
The Christian Louboutin x Maison Margiela collection explores the creative dialogue between the two brands, in which Margiela’s avant-garde approach is combined with Louboutin’s craftsmanship and characteristic red sole. The collection consists of two separate lines: Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin and Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela, with a selection of pumps, ballerinas and boots.
In Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin, the Tabi shoe gets a new interpretation, in which Louboutin’s characteristic female shapes and red sole are processed. In Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela, Louboutin’s aesthetics is taken care of with Margiela’s Decortiqué technology, in which parts of the shoe are ‘stripped’ to expose the construction.
The shoes are available worldwide in selected boutiques and via the official websites of Christian Louboutin and Maison Margiela. Prices vary from 945 euros for the ‘Marlougiela’ Ballerina to 1,995 euros for the ‘Xrismartien’ high boot.
