Leicestershire have canceled the deal of Australian batsman Will Pucovski after he suffered another concussion. Leicestershire director of cricket Claude Henderson said: “Losing Will at this stage is a huge shame but his health must come first. All parties agree given the England season is about to start Allow him the necessary recovery time and we wish Will the best as he continues his recovery in Australia.
“Our recruiting team is aware of the evolving situation and we have plans in place to ensure our team enters the season as strong as possible.”
Meanwhile, Darren Gough has resigned as general manager of Yorkshire cricket. The former England fast bowler was appointed in December 2021 following allegations of racism that rocked the sport. Goff said: “It has been an honor to play for my boyhood club for the past two seasons.
“Having stepped in during a very challenging period, we have worked hard to steady the ship and develop our cricket department to ensure we can return to the top level of English cricket.”
