The Lebanese Prime Minister announced that it had asked Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib to submit a new urgent complaint against the Israeli entity to the UN Security Council.
The Council Presidency said in a statement: “Given the persistence of this Israeli aggression, the fall of martyrs, and the massive destruction caused by the aggression in southern Lebanon, I consulted with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdullah Bou Habib, about the situation, and requested that a new urgent complaint be submitted against Israel to the UN Security Council.”
Prime Minister Najib Mikati said: “At a time when we stress calm and call on all parties to commit to non-escalation, we find the Israeli enemy persisting in its aggression, which prompts us to ask the international stakeholders concerned with the initiatives about the steps taken to curb the enemy.”
