Today, Wednesday, the Lebanese Hezbollah movement announced that it had targeted Israeli military sites in the south of the country, confirming that it had directly hit them.
Hezbollah issued several statements stating that “in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance”:
– At 17:40 pm today, Wednesday (Lebanon time): “The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted the Zabdin site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms with missile weapons, and hit it directly.”
– At 17:35 pm today, Wednesday: “The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kafr Shuba with missile weapons, and hit it directly.”
– At 17:35 pm today, Wednesday: “The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted Hunin Castle with missile weapons, and hit it directly.”
The UNIFIL leadership operating in Lebanon renewed “calls on all actors to lay down their weapons, recommit to UN Security Council Resolution 1701, and work towards a political and diplomatic solution.”
The border between Lebanon and Israel is still witnessing tension and intermittent exchanges of fire, while voices are rising warning that the situation will slide into a large-scale war, affecting all Lebanese territories, with the intensity of clashes between Hezbollah and the Israeli army escalating.
