With the spring/summer 2027 collection, Dutch knitwear brand Knit-ted looks outside. While the winter collection turned inward for spiritual reflection, this spring the brand is looking for a connection with the world around it. Based on the belief that everything is connected, Knit-ted investigates how details, fabrics and shapes influence each other. This results in a more feminine, refined direction, with extra attention to detail. The collection is entitled ‘Woven with the world’.
That philosophy also translates into the design process itself. Ultimately, a garment becomes something that takes on a life of its own once someone wears it. Knit-ted calls this an endless stream: everything constantly changes shape, but remains connected. The SS27 collection is an ode to that movement.
Soft tones meet a vibrant color palette
The basis of SS27 consists of soft, natural tones: warm beige, off-white, light green and mixed gray, supplemented with grayed earth tones. In contrast, bright red and kiwi green are the defining, bright statement colors of SS27, created in vibrant monochrome looks that can be combined well with the softer shades from the collection. While the muted tones form a calm foundation, the statement colors provide a pronounced accent. In between, Knit-ted brings an intense dark blue together with fresh mint green and light blue, for a serene, subdued effect.
Flowing silhouettes
SS27’s silhouettes are feminine and comfortable. The collection combines balloon shapes in airy cotton with tighter, fitted tops for a relaxed silhouette. Bodycon tops that follow the shape of the body and fall softly around it are also part of the line. Each piece is strong in its own right and at the same time works as part of a larger ensemble.
Knit-ted’s craftsmanship lies in the hidden details. A perfectly finished neckline and a smooth inner waistband ensure a comfortable fit against the skin and an effortlessly elegant look. An example of this is the Spring-Suit: a suit with a relaxed fit, made from an airy cotton-linen mix, with accentuated shoulders and invisibly finished details. The result is a refined style with all the comfort and self-confidence that comes with it.
Nature as a visual theme
The campaign images place the clothing next to organic shapes from nature, from dried leaves to graceful flowers. In this way, Knit-ted visually translates its brand philosophy. Clothing is not separate from the world, but part of it.
“We are part of everything. Woven with the world. We receive and we pass on,” reads the campaign text. It is a thought that is reflected in the collection itself: in the choice of organic shapes, in the softness of the materials and in the pieces that mold completely to the wearer.
