The Israeli military on Monday struck targets “deep inside Lebanon”. The strikes fit a pattern “of a slow and steady escalation along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon”, said FRANCE24 correspondent in Jerusalem Andrew Hilliar. There has also been a steady increase in military and civilian deaths on both sides, added Hilliar.
