The Federal Intelligence Agency announced the overthrow of an international network for human organ trafficking in Najaf.
The agency stated in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “its specialized units in combating organized crime in the governorate received accurate intelligence information indicating the presence of suspects who have connections with people in neighboring countries, who are trading in human organs (kidneys) in exchange for sums of money. Immediately, an intelligence team was formed and three suspects from the network were arrested after obtaining the necessary judicial approvals.”
She added, “When they were investigated, they explicitly admitted to belonging to an international network that trades in human organs in exchange for money, and they were referred to the competent judicial authorities to receive their just punishment.”
