The Netherlands will go to the polls again on October 29. It is the third time in four years that members of the House of Representatives have gone to the polls. Trade organization INretail wants to make it a little easier and has therefore published a voting guide containing important points for retail and the positions of the nine frontrunners in the elections.
INretail advises entrepreneurs to vote ‘with their entrepreneurial heart’. Themes that are important within the industry include regulatory pressure, unfair competition and a strong shopping street. The approach to retail crime, investments in shopping areas, the net salary of employees and the reduction of VAT and excise duties were also examined.
The party programs of PVV, GroenLinks/PvdA, CDA, D66, VVD, JA21, SP, Party for the Animals and BBB have been analyzed.
