By Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney to Marni and Viktor & Rolf – all designers that one worked together of H&M and created collections full of affordable pearls. The only downside? We blink once and it’s sold out. Now we have an extra chance to shop that one item from that one collaboration, because H&M is now bringing back some of these second-hand treasures.
H&M will sell second-hand pieces from designer collaborations
Collaborations that we look forward to again and again are definitely the ones designer collaborations by H&M. Iconic names with pieces that we still dream of, but unfortunately we just missed out on. Still have your eye on that one jacket from years ago? This could be your chance.
This year marks twenty years since that H&M launched a first designer collaboration. In 2004, the retail chain collaborated with Karl Lagerfeldafter which we were treated to one successful designer collaboration from the chain after another.
This anniversary must be celebrated, they must have thought. The retailer has collected second-hand pieces from the iconic collections of recent years worldwide, so that you may find that one item from the collection that you have secretly dreamed of for so long. And in our opinion, taking a second-hand route is never a bad idea.
This is where you need to shop for the items
But which collections should we think about? H&M has special pieces from the designer collections H&M of Marni, Mugler, Kenzo, Alexander Wang, Versace, Maison Martin Margiela, Isabel Marant, Comme des Garçons, Viktor & Rolf, Stella McCartney, Versace and so on are ready for you.
Creative director of H&M, Jörgen Andersson shared about the initiative according to WWD: ‘By working with second-hand pieces we can bring these collections back to fashion fans, giving them the opportunity to appreciate these collections again. As we introduce iconic fashion moments from H&M and the world’s best design talents to a new generation.”
The items can be purchased at H&M stores, among others Paris, London, New York and Barcelona. Unfortunately not in Amsterdam for us. On October 31, the archive items will go to the store chain’s website.
