At the beginning of this year we wrote an article about the big fashion trends for spring and summer 2026. And gradually one of these trends has become our favorite. Fringes make this summer one striking comebackbut in a completely new guise.
Where for years we mainly associated fringes with western influences and supple flowing leather, it is now about a much more refined and festive interpretation. The fringes of 2026 are thinner, lighter, airier and even more festive.
Fringes make your clothes dance
On the catwalks and during summer events we see dresses, tops and skirts decorated with fine strands that elegantly sway along while walking. The effect? Playful, glamorous and cheerful looks. Feathers also play a leading role in this trend. In fact, the bigger, more voluminous and dramatic, the better. They immediately add a dose extravagance suitable for even the most minimalist silhouettes.
This summer we want looks that live, dance and… move with the body. They are the fabrics that catch the light and create a feeling of energy. Fashion with a focus on texture and dynamics.
Although the ‘classic’ leather fringes are still present, the focus is clearly shifting more luxurious materials such as silky threads, beads, shiny sequin fringes, feathers and chic fabrics. Perfect for summer parties, weddings or an evening when your outfit needs to make as much of an entrance as you do.
One thing is certain: this summer, fashion is not just about how something looks, but especially about how it moves. We selected our favorite items.
