
Until now, people in France suffering from incurable illnesses, and who wish to end their lives, have had to travel abroad. But one of President Macron’s pledges for his second term in office was a debate on the right to die. That debate got started today, being such a divisive subject, the discussions are expected to carry on for more than a year. FRANCE24’s Solange Mougin reports.
