Politico reported that France is seeking to create a coalition of Western countries willing to send their forces to Ukraine.
The newspaper said: “France is working to create a coalition of countries prepared to potentially send Western forces to Ukraine, thus deepening its confrontation with the more cautious Berlin.”
The newspaper pointed out that French President Emmanuel Macron spoke earlier about the possibility of sending military personnel from Western countries to Ukraine.
Subsequently, most EU countries, including Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, announced that they had no such plans.
Politico added that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are “more open to the idea.”
Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson did not rule out that the Russian army would strike NATO bases in Romania and Poland if the alliance decided to enter Ukrainian territory.
