Danny Care, Harlequins half-back, retires from international rugby after 101 caps during a 15-year England career.
The Leeds-born 37-year-old, who has set Quins’ record with 369 appearances, has featured in all five of England’s matches in this year’s Six Nations, including his 100th in the 23-22 win over Ireland Played for the England team for the first time.
He posted on Instagram: “Playing for England was a dream come true. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have the chance to do it more than 100 times.
“After much reflection over the past few months, the team and I feel that now is the time to retire from international rugby.
“The last 12 months with this England team have been arguably my favorite and the memories that my family and I will always cherish and remember.”
