Immanuel Feyi-Waboso is set to make his first start for England against Ireland on Saturday, after debuting for the Taunton Titans less than 12 months ago. His rapid rise will reach its peak.
The Guardian understands Steve Borthwick is also set to select fit-again scrum-half Alex Mitchell and George Martin for the daunting Six Nations meeting, while Marcus Smith is expected to return for Round 23 as a replacement, while George Ford will retain his place. Fly half.
Fay Waboso, 21, has caught the eye in his two appearances off the bench so far and is expected to start on the left wing for the first time. Unless he later changes his mind, Elliot Daly will drop out of the squad along with Faye Waboso, who is at the center of the tug-of-war between England and Wales ahead of the Six Nations and is expected to get recognized.

The Exeter winger missed last week’s training camp in York for a medical but was praised for his cameo in the defeat to Scotland. Fay-Waboso arrived at Exeter after the Hornets went into administration but only began playing regular football for Chiefs at the start of the season, having previously been loaned to Taunton.
Borthwick will announce his squad on Thursday and Mitchell’s expected return will be a major boost. The Northampton half-back overcame an infected leg to start the games against Italy and Wales, but then suffered a knee injury and there were fears he could miss the remainder of the campaign. He missed the defeat to Scotland but is ready to jump straight back into the squad and rekindle his centre-back partnership with Ford.
Smith is another player who has returned to fitness after missing all three of England’s games so far with a calf injury suffered just days before England’s opener against Italy. Borthwick considered starting him but Smith has not featured since Harlequins’ Champions League win over Ulster on January 20. Fin Smith has been unable to train since last week and has been performing substitute duties at fly-half so far this tournament.
Martin impressed as a substitute against Scotland and his expected selection will provide a boost for England – barring a blunder on the restart. He will add considerable strength to the forward line-up and is expected to make his first start for England since his stunning performance in the World Cup semi-final defeat to South Africa. Ethan Roots is expected to exit the team to make way for Martin.
