The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that efforts for rescue teams to reach the site of the plane accident are continuing with seriousness and hope.

The Ministry stated in a statement seen by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “last Sunday afternoon, the helicopter that was carrying the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and some other companions was unfortunately subjected to an accident in the Warzgan region of East Azerbaijan Governorate,” indicating that “despite the circumstances Bad weather and environmental conditions, efforts for rescue teams to reach the accident site are continuing with all seriousness and hope.”
She added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation for the expression of humanitarian sentiments and solidarity of a large number of governments, countries and international organizations with the government and people of Iran and offers of aid and assistance for this search and rescue operation.”
