The Dutch shirt brand Ledûb, part of the Fashion Family business, has been known for decades for the perfect balance between fit, quality and style in formal shirts. That reputation remains strong. At the same time, Ledûb responds to the growing need for versatile items that can be worn both business and casual.
With a new collection in which overshirts, polos and comfortable stretch qualities play a prominent role, Ledûb offers a contemporary answer to the changing clothing wishes of the modern man. “Ledûb remains unmistakably shirt specialist,” emphasizes director Anja van den Bersselaar during a showroom visit from FashionUnited. “But the vision is widened within that specialty.”
For retailers this means a valuable opportunity: a familiar brand that combines quality with innovation and responds to the growing demand for stylish but accessible fashion.
More carrying moments: from formal to informal
Consumers want clothing that effortlessly moves with their day and the associated wearing moments. That means not only a shirt for formal occasions, but also a versatile item that can be combined just as easily with a jacket as with a chino or jeans.
That is why the range has been expanded with innovative materials such as 4-way Stretch and Luxury Knit. These qualities offer optimum freedom of movement and ease of maintenance, without making concessions to the refined appearance that Ledûb is known for. The collection has also been enriched with overshirts and polos. No full shift to Casualwear, but a broadening that meets the wishes of the modern customer.
European production as a powerful foundation for an optimal price-quality position
Ledûb distinguishes itself not only with its products, but also with the production process. By largely producing in their own factories in North Macedonia and working exclusively with European fabric suppliers, a high degree of flexibility, quality and reliability is guaranteed. Short lines provide control and consistency.
With a price range between € 79 and € 99, Ledûb consciously positions itself in the heart of the premium middle segment. The focus is on the quality-conscious consumer and the retailer that values continuity, sustainability and a strong price-quality ratio.
Focus in stock and cooperation
Within the B2B strategy, the emphasis is increasingly shifting to stock-driven work. At Ledûb it’s all about flexibility and availability. Deliveries take place directly from stock, with short switching times thanks to its own production capacity. The use of, among others, EDI and the B2B webshop responds to current sales data. What is ordered today before 4 p.m. is in the store the next day.
Retail partners appreciate the short lines of communication, fast delivery times and the high service level. Feedback from the shop floor is actively collected and taken into production and marketing decisions.
Formally the basis remains, versatility the future
The Ledûb DNA is in the formal segment. A solid basis for this is, among other things, the Never Out of Stock program, available in different fits and sleeve lengths, including the extra long sleeve (ML7). “There is still a big question from business users, for whom a quality, appropriate shirt is a daily part of the wardrobe,” says Van den Bersselaar.
Ledûb remains faithful to his roots as a producer of formal shirts, but at the same time responds to a market in which versatility is becoming increasingly important. The collection offers shirts that are comfortable, looked well -groomed and can be widely used – without concessions to quality.
