The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale was recorded in southern Greece.
He added that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred at a depth of 17 kilometers and 122 kilometers southwest of the Greek city of Patra, which is inhabited by about 168 thousand people.
No information was received about injuries or damage resulting from the earthquake.
