DYSON has unveiled nearly a DOZEN new products in a dizzying showcase attended by The Sun, including an AI robot vac and a hi-tech super-mop.
Famed British inventor Sir James Dyson took to the stage in Berlin wielding one of the company’s newest gadgets – the broom like PencilVac, the world’s slimmest vacuum cleaner.

“We are very keen on making things smaller and smaller, lighter and lighter, while dramatically improving performance,” Sir James said.
Dyson showed off the PencilVac earlier this year in Japan, but the company is finally gearing up for a UK launch.
The shockingly thin PencilVac is just 38mm across. That’s about halfway across the screen of an iPhone 16 held upright.
It also has a brainy compactions system that compresses dust so the thin vacuum body can hold five times more than its visible 0.08-litre capacity.
Dyson also revealed several other hi-tech vacuum cleaners at the event.
That includes the Dyson V8 Cyclone, which is an upgraded version of the 2016 model that’s lighter, more powerful, and runs for an hour straight.
Then there’s the new Dyson V16 Piston Animal, which says it’s built for “the highest cleaning performance” across an entire home.
It’s designed to deep clean across different floor types and grab hair without tangling.
There’s now a built-in crevice tool on the main body of the vacuum cleaner, so you don’t need to stick on an attachment to get into awkward spots.
And you can now detach attachments using a quick-release near the top of the vacuum cleaner too – so no more bending down.
On top of that, you can just power the vacuum cleaner on with a button rather than having to hold something down.
And the bin – branded CleanCompaktor – can hold a staggering 30 days’ worth of compressed dust.
If you’re ready to ditch the mop then you might be interested in the Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene.
It’s a lightweight wet and dry cleaner that traps the dirty water in the cleaner head.

It uses a special system to prevent dirt built-up or filter clogging, and only uses clean water on your floors.
The self-cleaning feature is meant to replace the mops of old, and it even promises “streak-free” floors.
Dyson has even served up a new cleaning robot.
It’s called the Dyson Spot+Scrub AI robot, and it uses AI to detect stains as it’s roaming around your home. Spooky.

9
It uses a green LED to illuminate the floor, and comes equipped with an AI-powered camera.
The bot not only cleans but also mops, and it’ll do it autonomously without any help from you.
It can recognise nearly 200 types of objects like cables and socks, so that it can clean around them effectively.
And it’ll repeatedly go over stubborn stains – Dyson told me up to 15 times – until it’s sparkling clean.

But the only thing it’s declaring war on is impure air.
Importantly, this gadget is designed to do it extremely quietly.

Some classic Dyson fans have also been reinvented.

Dyson says the hair dryer “minimises turbulence to your hair”, and can cool instantly mid-heat.

9
There’s also a new “multi-styler and hair dryer”, the Dyson Airdrop Co-anda 2x.

And it promises to do all of that “with no heat damage”.
WHAT I WAS IMPRESSED BY – EXPERT VIEW
By Sean Keach, Head of Technology and Science at The Sun
I’ve had a play with almost all of the tech on this list, and there are some real standout features
The PencilVac is obviously just mind-bogglingly thin. It’s a brilliant demo of how far vacuum cleaners have come. And its thin body makes it exceptionally agile. It’s a dream come true for anyone living in apartment.
I was also struck by the qualify of life changes from the V16 Piston Animal. Not having to bend down to swap out attachments is amazing – and having a built-in crevice cleaner saves a lot of faff when you want to just quickly vac an awkward spot.
The Dyson robot that cleans and mops is neat – but its AI brain that allows it to keep scrubbing a spot until the stain is gone makes it particularly impressive.
And the new Dyson purifier was strikingly quiet. You could barely hear it running. Dyson even had to demo it with a balloon rising up over the top to prove it was on.
Lastly, Dyson has launched its own haircare range – and even uses ingredients grown on the company’s farm.
It’s called the Dyson Omega Nourishing Range, and it was revealed during the big event in Berlin.
“We’ve brought together two completely different worlds – farming and beauty,” Sir James said.
“To develop a product that unlocks healthy hair with natural ingredients.
“Dyson Omega is the first Dyson product to feature an ingredient grown on Dyson farms.”
He said it would solve the problem of “dry, tangled, frizzy hair”.
It contains a blend of seven “omega-rich oils”, which includes sunflower oil harvested from Dyson’s Lincolnshire farm.
The range includes a hydrating hair oil and a leave-in conditioning spray.
