Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce set the date for resuming work on the electronic ration card project, while indicating the intention to contract with the private sector regarding the project.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Sattar Al-Jabri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ministry concluded a cooperation agreement with the World Food Programme, as there were technical observations in addition to the observations of the Cybersecurity Committee regarding the electronic ration card,” pointing out that “the work has been stopped.” Electronic ration card.
He added, “The Ministry is heading to contract with a private sector company, after the latter submitted the technical and economic study, and it is now in a government consulting office to review it in detail.”
He pointed out, “The electronic ration card project will be launched throughout Iraq within a period ranging from the next two to three months,” stressing that “the unified card will be the same as the ration card.”
