'Be kind with yourself': US expat Robin Allison Davis on surviving cancer in Paris

An American woman who moved to Paris and soon afterwards was twice diagnosed with breast cancer has spoken to FRANCE 24 about how she managed to get through the trauma. The paperback version of Robin Allison Davis’s book “Surviving Paris: A Memoir of Healing in the City of Light” has just come out. The reviews say it’s full of sorrow, laughter and some unforgettable cringeworthy moments. Davis told us the only way to survive in her situation was to be kind to herself, admitting that she did a lot of writing and crying at the same time. She spoke to us in Perspective.
