Today, Friday, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with US Treasury Undersecretary Brian Nelson the economic and financial relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing Iranian financial dues to the Commercial Bank of Iraq.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “its Minister Fuad Hussein met with US Treasury Undersecretary Brian Nelson in the United States of America today, 03/22/2024.”
He added, “During the meeting, bilateral, economic and financial relations between the two countries were discussed, issues and files of common interest were discussed, and the importance of achieving development in order to develop the financial and banking sector and the reforms undertaken by the Central Bank of Iraq were discussed.
