The Post Office’s embattled chief executive has been issued with a final chance to submit the 80-page investigation into his conduct before a committee of MPs look to formally summon the report. After a number of lapsed deadlines to provide the report, Nick Read has been told by the Business and Trade Committee chair he has a deadline of 9am on Tuesday morning. Bullseye star and darts commentator Tony Green, who worked alongside Jim Bowen on the hit ITV show for more than a decade, has died aged 85.A statement on the Bullseye Facebook account said “our dear friend and much-loved colleague… passed away peacefully today after a long battle with Alzheimer’s”. Jeremy Hunt is to extend a key government lending programme for another two years following pleas from Britain’s army of small businesses.Sky News has learnt that the chancellor will announce in his budget on Wednesday that the recovery loan scheme, which was reintroduced in the summer of 2022, is to be extended until 2026. Rolls-Royce Submarines has announced more than 200 jobs will be created with the opening of two new offices in Scotland and Wales.The firm said it is aiming to attract engineers and specialists from across the UK to work on its growing portfolio of defence nuclear projects. Shares in the troubled UK music investor Hipgnosis Songs Fund hit a record low on Monday after the value of its portfolio was cut and said it had halted investor payouts “for the foreseeable future”.The FTSE 250 firm said that a review had estimated the fair value of its catalogue, including rights to work by artists including Shakira, Ed Sheeran, Blondie and Red Hot Chili Peppers, at between £1.8bn to just over £2bn. Apple has been fined €1.8bn (£1.54bn) by the EU for favouring its own music streaming service rather than rivals. Apple didn’t fully inform their device users there were alternative and cheaper subscription services for more than a decade, said the EU executive, the European Commission. As a result, iPhone and iPad users paid “significantly higher prices for music streaming subscriptions”, it said.The fine has been issued due to a complaint by streaming service Spotify.
