The Scottish government has announced plans for new legislation that will exonerate sub-postmasters wrongly convicted as a result of the faulty Horizon IT system.Those who have their convictions quashed under the proposed Post Office (Horizon System) Offences (Scotland) Bill will then be able to access the UK government’s financial redress scheme. FTSE 100 mining giant Anglo American has revealed plans to break itself up, hours after it rejected a takeover bid from a larger rival.Anglo said it would sell or demerge its 85% stake in De Beers – the world’s biggest diamond miner.
