The video, published by Deadline, came to light after reports that crew were organizing a strike and claiming unsafe conditions. John Travolta’s directorial debut, Propeller One-Way Night Coach, will world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in the Cannes Premiere Selection, organizers unveiled on Thursday. Mary Beth Hurt, the Tony-nominated actress whose demure demeanor drew moviegoers to her array of emotionally impactful performances in such films as Interiors, Chilly Scenes of Winter and The World According to Garp, has died. The road trip adventure feature is now set to hit theaters Jan. 22, 2027, after previously having been scheduled for May 1, 2026. Prior to that, the film had been slated for release on Oct. 10, 2025. Alexander Kluge, the German filmmaker, whose career spanned more than six decades and helped define the New German Cinema movement, has died. He was 94. Kluge’s family confirmed his death to German media on Wednesday. A cause of death was not given. Kluge was one of the signatories of the 1962 Oberhausen Manifesto, which called for a new, auteur-driven German cinema and is credited with helping spark the New German Cinema movement.
