The Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Anbar announced the arrest of a suspect who was found in possession of 100,000 Captagon pills in the province.

Director of the Directorate, Brigadier General Akram Mishaan Turki Al-Rashed, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “based on intelligence information and a precise ambush, the Anti-Narcotics Directorate in Anbar was able to arrest an accused who was found in possession of 100,000 Captagon-type narcotic pills in the governorate.”
He added, “The Directorate continues to carry out its duties day and night against drug dealers, users, and drug dealers,” stressing that “there is great cooperation between citizens and security services in reporting suspected cases.”
