I admit it honestly: the word ‘jeggings‘ I had mentally long since left behind in the early 2010s. Now oversized denim has dominated the fashion scene in recent years, it seemed comeback of jeggings highly unlikely. Yet Marks & Spencer is now surprisingly fully committed to this. During our last tour of the brand’s new items, we immediately noticed a few striking ones stylish jeggings – and not just because they cost 33 euros. Although stretchy denim Often seen as a fashion statement from the past, this affordable model proves that the comfortable sister of jeans can still be relevant.
Makes the controversial jeggings one comeback?
But what makes Marks & Spencer’s version so good? The English brand has the classic jeggings given a modern update by playing with the silhouette. Instead of the usual tight skinny fit, this model has flared legs. This makes the fit more current and it looks flattering.
In fact, they look like real ones flared jeans — maybe even better — thanks to the stretchy fabric which is both comfortable and fits beautifully around your body for a comfortable and flattering fit. The only obvious difference is the waistband of the jeggings, but this certainly does not have to be a disadvantage. Instead of a combination of zipper and button, these jean leggings have an elastic band.
The jeggings are the perfect travel pants
As someone who spends a lot of time either traveling or sitting behind a desk, comfort is extremely important to me. That’s exactly why these jeggings from M&S are so nice. They are available in one medium blue wash which fits perfectly with spring, but also in classic black for a more chic look.
You can effortlessly combine the jeans with all kinds of basics such as an oversized blazer, a classic linen blouse or a simple white T-shirt with some chunky jewelry. In terms of shoes, you can combine them just like your favorite jeans: with loafers, trendy sneakerinas, flats or even flip flops.
Also nice: the pants have… four different lengths: extra short, petite, regular and long.
