The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced the overthrow of an ISIS terrorist and the arrest of 3 drug traffickers in four governorates.

The directorate stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “in a qualitative and proactive operation through which the detachments of the Kirkuk Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense, and in coordination with the Kirkuk Operations Command Commando Regiment and the SWAT Force, Kirkuk Police Commander, were able to overthrow a gang member.” ISIS terrorist organization in Kirkuk Governorate, against whom an arrest warrant was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (1/4) Terrorism,” stressing that “he was arrested after interrupting intelligence information and setting up an elaborate ambush that led to his arrest, where the necessary measures were taken against him and he was referred to the judiciary.”
She added, “In other separate duties, the detachments of the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security arrested three drug dealers and drug dealers in the governorates of Baghdad, Muthanna, and Diwaniyah. Arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) Narcotics, and they were duly handed over to the competent authorities.”
