Today, Friday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani extended an invitation to the Prime Minister of Denmark to visit Iraq, while stressing the importance of establishing strategic partnerships with the European Union in general.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “Al-Sudani met with Danish Prime Minister Metta Frederiksen, on the sidelines of his participation in the Munich Security Conference 2024. At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Sudani extended an invitation to Frederiksen to visit Iraq, and relations were also discussed.” The bilateral relationship between the two countries, and the prospects for developing it in various fields, especially in the economic fields, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries.”
According to the statement, the Prime Minister stressed “the importance of establishing strategic partnerships with the European Union in general, and bilateral partnerships with European Union countries,” noting “Iraq’s desire to cooperate with Danish companies, with their extensive experience to contribute to development and strategic projects.”
For her part, Frederiksen stressed, according to the statement, “her country’s keenness to develop cooperation relations with Iraq in all fields, and to expand them to include the sectors of the economy, industry, agriculture, and other investment sectors.”
