The media office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, received on Wednesday evening at his residence in Baghdad, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Wisdom Movement, and his accompanying delegation.”
He added, “The meeting was attended by a number of representatives and the official of the fifth branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and during the meeting, issues and topics related to the general situation and developments in the political arena were discussed,” noting that “emphasis was placed on commitment to the constitution, taking into account constitutional entitlements, and protecting the rights of all components of the people, as well as On discussing the financial dues of the Iraqi Kurdistan region and addressing the files between Baghdad and Erbil through dialogues and understandings on the basis of national partnership.
