Today, Wednesday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the implementation of two arrest operations in cases of waste of public money and fraud in the Kut Municipality Directorate and the Housing Fund in Wasit, confirming the implementation of two arrest warrants against (9) those accused in them.
The Authority’s Government Media and Communications Office stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “the judge of the investigative court specialized in examining integrity cases issued an arrest warrant against (6) employees of the Kut Municipality Directorate.” After the Wasit Investigation Office team, which was transferred to the Directorate, monitored its failure to collect the amount of rent for the city of (tourist dreams) referred by the Wasit Investment Authority, amounting to (60,659,816) million dinars, in addition to the fact that it did not collect the late fines, and did not take care of the conformity of the existing equipment and games. In the city according to the technical specifications, despite the fact that the city has been operating for more than a year, he pointed out that the arrest warrant was implemented against the accused in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code.
The office added, “An arrest warrant was executed against (3) employees of the Housing Fund Department in Wasit, who are members of the inspection committee, after monitoring suspicions of corruption and the Fund employees granting two loans in the amount of (138,000,000) million dinars; To build two houses on two plots of land, based on fictitious statements.”
He continued, “The team monitored the presence of “building a house” buildings, contrary to reality, after moving to the land site as indicated by a surveyor from the Land Registry Directorate, where it was found that there were no buildings there.
